The Director

After receiving a brand new 8mm Bell&Howell movie camera for Christmas, 1959, Dan shot his first film and never looked back.

His love of horror films started even before that, when, as a 8-year-old, he was scared out of his wits by a Japanese monster film entitled Rodan.

Unable to sleep for at least the next two weeks, Dan's mind began creating the visions that would eventually lead him into the movie business.

During the 1970's, Dan participated in the making of a number of films shot in Northern California. As a grip and PA, he learned the business on set by watching some of the masters work.

During the 1980's, he was heavily involved in commercial production and scored his first directorial gigs in regional advertising venues. He went on to direct numerous industrial and training films.

Dan's first narrative effort was a Twilight Zone-like short entitled Back Home. Stranger is his first feature film. Dan lives with his wife of 25 years and his daughter in Marin County, California.
